In conjunction with his solo exhibit, Life, join Poul Lange at Marie Baldwin Gallery for a collage workshop. Poul Lange uses collage to illustrate ideas of location and history, using found objects arranged in poetic combinations. We will explore interesting materials, natural and manmade, and techniques in how to combine and affix them. Poul does not limit his collages to flat surfaces, and the class will cover incorporating 3D objects with 2D collage surfaces, making a bas-relief artwork. If so inclined, you can integrate drawing, painting, and your own found materials!

Collage is a freeing, open ended medium that is perfect for the beginner to advanced level artist. All materials are included in the class tuition, but you are welcome to bring things of your own to use as part of the collage you will make or as inspiration. All participants will go home with their own unique artwork.
